Hi @TafsirBhuiyan,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

I understand how important it is to have a working microphone, especially when so many rely on it for communication. Let’s work through this together to get your HP ENVY x360’s mic functioning again.

  • Have you recently updated your operating system or installed any new software that might have affected the audio settings?
  • Is the microphone not working in all applications, or does it only fail in specific ones like video calls or recording software?
  • Have you checked if the microphone is enabled in the system settings, or are there any privacy settings that might be blocking access?

In the meantime, let's try these steps.

Check Microphone Settings:

  • Go to Settings > Privacy > Microphone and ensure that the microphone access is enabled for your device and apps.

Run Windows Troubleshooter:

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters.
  • Select Recording Audio and run the troubleshooter. Follow the prompts to see if it identifies and resolves any issues.

Reinstall Audio Drivers:

  • Open Device Manager (right-click the Start button and select it).
  • Expand the Sound, video and game controllers section, right-click your audio device, and select Uninstall device.
  • Restart your computer; Windows should automatically reinstall the driver.

Download Drivers from HP Support:

  • Visit the HP Support website.
  • Enter your laptop's model number and search for the latest audio drivers compatible with your OS. Download and install them manually.

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for any available updates.
  • Installing updates can sometimes resolve compatibility issues with drivers.

If these steps don't work, we may need to look deeper into the hardware issue.

Keep me posted for further assistance
