So I recently bought a used HP EliteBook 6930p and installed windows 10 64 bit on it and for the most part it works, the old drivers still worked, in device manager everything is installed, no yellow "!" signs. but there's no sound coming from the speakers, Does this thing even have speakers? The audio jack is working fine. I tried updating the drivers trough windows, tried installing the latest official drivers, none of them worked. Tried disabling audio enhancements, messing around in the SoundMax control panel but nothing helped, at first when I tried to run the test tones it gave me an error, then I ran the audio troubleshooter which solved the test tone error but it still only plays on the headphones, nothing on the speakers. Please help.

Hi:
Yes, the PC has speakers but I don't know how you are going to fix the problem.
My 6930p worked just fine from a W7>W10 update, including the sound.
I only needed to install a couple of W7 drivers for the card reader and accelerometer.
The notebook is not supported for W8 or newer OS, and the only driver was the W7 Soundmax driver.
The only suggestion I can offer would be to see if there is an updated Soundmax driver on the Microsoft update catalog site.
