Microsoft Windows 11

Hi,

I recently bought a HP Elitebook 745 G6, and I ran into a problem with no sound coming from the speakers.  I wiped the SSD, re-installed Windows 11 and all the drivers from HP,, in which the sound re-appeared initially; but a few days later, no sound was coming from the speakers again.

At first, I followed the advice here:

HP EliteBook 745 G6 speakers not working - HP Support Community - 8446216

and it did not work.

What I found is the following setting needs to be turned off:

Speakers > Properties > Enable Audio Enhancements [the check mark was on, it needs to be off]

Once I turn off the check mark, the sound comes through on the laptop speakers again.

Hope this helps.
