HP Pavilion dv6-1131ea
HP MediaSmart loads up at Windows startup, but it still doesn't show the volume bar.
I also tried installing HP MediaSmart Webcam ( I just love the cool effects ) but its not on the start menu.
And I can't find it in program files

I also noticed that the mute button on my laptop ( touch button ) is supposed to turn red when my volume is muted.
Now, when I touch my mute button, it remains white.
Also, the media buttons ( play, next, previous, stop) dont work at all.
They have no effect on:
1. winamp
2. windows media player
Do I have a missing driver or something ?

Hi,
Uninstall all MediaSmart programs from your system.
Resource:
Uninstalling Software in Windows 7
Uninstall or change a program in Windows 7
To get on-screen visuals and associated sounds that are displayed and heard when adjusting volume you will need to install before MediaSmart Menu at least one program from MediaSmart package. The best choice will be in my opinion:
MediaSmart DVD here (version 4.1.4328 for 32/64 bit Win7)
Now you may download and install:
MediaSmart SmartMenu here (version 3.1.2.2 for 32/64 bit Win7)
It doesn't metter in which order you will install the rest of the programs:
MediaSmart Webcam here (version 4.1.3130 for 32/64 bit Win7)
MediaSmart Music here (version 4.2.4604 for 32/64 bit Win7)
MediaSmart Video here (version 4.1.4322 for 32/64 bit Win7)
MediaSmart Photo here (version 4.1.4327 for 32/64 bit Win7)
MediaSmart LiveTV here (version 3.1.3003 for 32/64 bit Win7)
MediaSmart Movies and TV here (version 1.0.1.2 for 32/64 bit Win7)
MediaSmart Movie Store here (version 2.0.2 for 32/64 bit Win7)
You've got problem with mute color becuase of wrong audio driver.
Download but don't install:
IDT audio sp48668
Disconnect from Internet.
Uninstall from your system IDT audio drivers.
Resources:
Uninstalling Software in Windows 7
Uninstall or change a program in Windows 7
Restart your system:
On boot press ' F8 ' and choose ' Safe mode '.
Go to:
Control Panel -> Devices Manager -> Audio, Video and Games Controllers
and find there IDT audio card. Click on it with right button of your mouse and choose uninstall driver.
Restart your system and this time start it in normally.
Install this audio driver which You already downloaded.
