i did install both
HP MediaSmart SmartMenu Software
HP MediaSmart Movies and TV Software
and after that i tried to install mediasmart music
mediasmart photo
mediasmart webcam
but nothing seems to work it keeps on saying program didnt install propoerly
only start menu got installed. ican see that in the list of installed programs
i badly want those 😞 HELP please!!

it shows start menu in the list of installed programs , but when i try to launch the application nothing happens
i tried to launch from
C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\HP MediaSmart
i even tried with administrator previliges
still no use 😞

Could you provide the error you get when trying to install? The error itself should give information as to why it will not install.

All the installations start but don't finish and don't display any success or failure warnings; I also have the DVD software that does nothing when I cilck on the start menu icon.
after few seconds it says program might not have installed correctly try using recomedened settings that are compatible with version of windows
i saw lot of questions with excatly the same problme as mine 😞

I am including a link to Microsoft's Fix It tool. Please download and run it see if it can get the software installed. This is a tool Microsoft created for this very issue so it will try to fix the issue for you.

Awesome support here, and while happy your issue is resolved, I just have to wonder-ask why how you find it so benificial ( because as I recall, before I got rid of MediaSmart) the aspects of having a 'broad, non-translucent' banner displayed across most the entire screen, especially one that stayed there for unbelievable amount of time, caused me to dump the entire otherwise useful program. But again, I'm glad you got it resolved. Best regards and happ-e-trails to you, your's and everyone.
