Hello !

So i figured the problem is that the internal mic keeps muting itself. I may have found a solution in another  chain  on this topic.

Thanks

Hi,

Your machine has a Combo headphone/mic port. You can't simply plug a microphne to this port, it won't work. This ports is for:

Connects optional powered stereo speakers, headphones, earbuds, a headset, or a television audio cable. Also connects an optional headset microphone. This jack does not support optional microphone-only devices.

You need to use a headset or or use a proper adapter.

Regards.

It was working last week - but it was not loud enough, so my colleagues had to turn up volume on their machines.  I tried using headphones - still does not work. When i force the 'level' to 100% it works - this was one of the solutions offered in another forum.  But it just defaults to mute - the apply tab on that screen is disabled.
