My audio has just randomly disconnected saying 'No Audio Output Device is installed' - it was working fine yesterday and has went off today. When I turned laptop on this morning I hit the F6 button to mute before logging in since then it has been saying nothing is installed. Troubleshooting is not offering any solutions and is saying it can't identify the problem. I would be grateful for any help on this matter. This has never happened before.

Hi, I tried to download as you directed but it's stating that 'the BIOS update is blocked on this device' - would you have any idea as to why?

HP Recommended

@Ub6424 can I just do the firmware update you've put under point 4 or do I need to have the BIOS update in order to do that?

Hi, I've downloaded that but there's been no change - any other ideas?

Below is what it's saying for clarity. Keeps saying troubleshooting couldn't identify the problem also. Like I said previously was working fine on Friday, next day I start up laptop and hit F6 to mute and suddenly it starts saying there's no audio output device installed, hadn't done a thing else that could have caused it (although I don't see how hitting the mute button could cause this to happen either).

Don't know if I've done this right - this is what's come up for device manager and have expanded the bluetooth option but doesn't seem to be one for sound unless it's named differently which I can't seem to spot
