Product: HP Spectre x360
I have HP Spectre x360 - 13t. As per the specifications it has QUAD speakers but sound comes only from the 2 speakers on the bottom. The 2 speakers at the bottom of LCD are always quiet. I have tried both Laptop and Tablet mode. I have updated all the drivers, BIOS is up to date but still no audio output from Top speakers. Is there any settings to test all 4 speakers? HP troubleshooting does not help and it says no issues and I believe HP audio tests are meant only for 2 speakers and not for QUAD speakers. Could anyone tell me if it is some setting issue or software issue? It is really frustrating after buying it for a huge price. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the HP support community.
Update the Bios, chipset and audio drivers using HP Support Assistant.
Download and run the HP Support Assistant from this Link: Click here
HPSA will automatically search for all the latest drivers for your Notebook
Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.
Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.
Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.
Also ensure Windows is up to date.
Select the Start button, and then go to Settings > Update & security > Windows Update , and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available
Let me know how it goes.

I have checked your message. Everything is upto date. Bios, Audio Drivers and Windows updates are upto date. The audio tests are also successful and it did not detect any issues. It's a pity that HP does not have any tool/software to check the QUAD speakers. Anyone who had the similar issue, was it sorted out for you after repair?

@Kirubs If the issue persists, after the suggested steps as well, this could be a hardware malfunction, and I suggest you talk to HP support and discuss your options, follow the below steps to get started:
1) Click on this link - http://www.hp.com/contacthp/
2) Click on Sign-in or select the product using the below step:
3) Enter the serial of your device.
4) Select the country from the drop-down.
5) Click on "Show Options".
Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself!
Also, if you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty, if yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from,

If you wish to thank me for my efforts, you could click on "Accept as solution" on my post as the solution should help others too.
