Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hey guys,

I recently got myself a new X360 13" 2020 model number 13-aw0016no.

Out of the box I noticed that the speakers have a really anoying crackling sound, both in music, windows sound and when watching podcasts or youtube.

I tried updating the drivers, bios and other stuff according to different tips. I tried changing the sound settings, the hz and other stuff also according to some youtube guides. The problem persists.

Im only looking for drivers through the HP Assistant but I guess that should be enough.

Its the model with B&O sound.

Do you have any solution or is it just straight to hardware fix?

Thanks,

Johan

@HildingSensei,

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues with the audio on your computer.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you test the audio using headphones and check whether you are able to duplicate the issue on the headphones.

Below is the latest audio driver available for your computer from HP.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Hi Fossette,
Thank you for the reply 🙂

I tried with bluetooth headphones, both AirPods and Jabra MS65, both of them work fine, no sparkling sound. Very clear and good sound.

So now I installed the drivers you linked but the problem persists. Is it then a hardware issue?
It sounds like its vibrating some metallic piece or something, but only when listening to talks like youtube or podcasts, when listening to music its hard to hear. But when its supposed to be a clear voice talking its crackling.

Thanks,
Johan
