Hi aishvarya, did u try the solution provided by DavidPK in this same thread... it worked for me... the sound quality is better now... as DavidPK said Goto Device Manager->Audio or Sound-> Uninstall the realtek audio driver and then download the both files and first install the chipset which is somewhat 1mb then restart the pc then install the second downloaded driver which is somewhat 232MB... the audio system is already dolby as it is Controlled by B&O Audio Control system but for speaker u need to install Realtek Audio Drivers... please read the Second post of this tread it will solve u r problem...

Hi,

Try the following.

Download the Realtek HD Audio installer on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp75501-76000/sp75983.exe

When done, hold down the Windows key and press R

Into the Run window, type devmgmt.msc and hit enter.

In Device Manager, expand Sound, Video and Game Controllers.  Right click the Realtek device and select Uninstall - you should also get a prompt to remove the current driver, tick the box to allow this and then proceed with the uninstall.

When complete, download and reinstall the Chipset driver on the following link.

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp76501-77000/sp76608.exe

When the Chipset reinstallation has completed, restart the notebook.

When windows has reloaded, open your Downloads folder, right click on the Realtek installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation.  When this has completed, restart the notebook again and let windows fully load for a few minutes before checking.

Regards,

DP-K

Does this only work for 15au006tx? I have a HP Pavillion Notebook 15-au181na and it has the same problem as the HP Pavillion 15-au006tx.

yeah dude.. this will work for all pavilion models.. this is a driver related issue.. which probably gets resolved by reinstalling drivers...
