product : Hp envy 360 2-in-1

i bought my laptop this year and faced audio issues since i bought it, i don't know why i didn't return it but i did send it in to get the audio checked and they said their were no issues found, i don' think they checked software, the issue is that the audio may be very high but the sound coming out is very quiet, sometimes it would instantly change to a high volume but i don't know what actually is the loudest because of this, due to this issue even if its on 30/100 i can hardly hear anything more then murmurs, could someone suggest to me what to do

Hi @HA-775,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing audio issues with your HP Envy 360 2-in-1 laptop. Audio problems can be caused by various factors, and I'll provide you with some troubleshooting steps to help you identify and potentially resolve the issue.

Check the Volume:

  • Ensure that the volume is not muted, and the audio level is set to an appropriate level.

External Audio Devices:

  • If you're using external speakers or headphones, make sure they are properly connected and functional. Test them on another device if possible to rule out any issues with the audio output.

Restart Your Laptop:

  • Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve audio problems caused by software glitches.

Check Sound Settings:

  • Go to the "Sound" settings in the Windows Control Panel or the system settings on your operating system to make sure the correct audio output device is selected.

Update Audio Drivers:

  • Outdated or incompatible audio drivers can cause audio problems. Visit the HP website or use Windows Update to check for and install the latest audio driver updates for your laptop.

Audio Troubleshooter:

  • Use the built-in audio troubleshooter in your operating system to automatically diagnose and attempt to fix audio problems.

Disable Enhancements:

  • In the audio settings, you can often find audio enhancements or effects. Try disabling them to see if they are causing the issue.

Check for Software Conflicts:

  • Sometimes, third-party applications or conflicting software can interfere with audio. Try closing all unnecessary applications and testing the audio.

Windows Updates:

  • Ensure that your operating system is up to date. Sometimes, system updates can address audio issues.

BIOS/UEFI Update:

  • In some cases, updating the laptop's BIOS or UEFI firmware can resolve hardware-related audio issues. Check HP's support website for any available updates.

Hardware Inspection:

  • If none of the software troubleshooting steps work, there may be a hardware issue with your laptop's audio components.

System Restore:

  • If the issue occurred recently after a software change or update, you can try performing a system restore to a point in time before the issue started.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
