Hi @riyaz_so

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

The screenshot indicates that Google Chrome is being blocked from accessing the microphone at the operating-system level. Since the HP Pavilion 14-dv0000 is normally a Windows laptop, the exact steps depend on whether this unit is running Windows or macOS.

The HP Pavilion is running Windows 10/11

  • Close Google Chrome completely.
  • Go to Start → Settings → Privacy & security → Microphone.
  • Turn Microphone access → On.
  • Turn Let apps access your microphone → On.
  • Turn Let desktop apps access your microphone → On.
  • Reopen Chrome.
  • In Chrome's address bar, enter:
    chrome://settings/content/microphone
  • Make sure:
    • Sites can ask to use your microphone is selected.
    • The correct microphone is selected under Default microphone.
    • The website you are using isn't listed under Not allowed to use your microphone

The wording "Open Microphone Privacy in System Settings" is specifically consistent with macOS.

Go to:

  • Apple menu  → System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone
  • Then enable Google Chrome. Apple confirms that microphone permissions are controlled from this section.

After enabling Chrome:

  • Quit Chrome completely.
  • Reopen Chrome.
  • Go to chrome://settings/content/microphone.
  • Select the correct microphone.
  • Open the affected website and allow microphone access.

Take care and have an amazing day!
