Hello!

We have exactly the same problem with a “HP Pavilion x360 Convertible“ (14-ba105no).

The internal mic shows up in System Control and when tapping with the fingers on the laptop there seems to be some (weak) sound input. But when listening to the recorded sound it is only some distorted noise. Everything works fine with an external microphone.

This has been like this since we bought the laptop. Please give us advice how to get a working internal microphone array!

Thanks,

Markus

Hi Sandytechy20,

thanks for your reply! Unfortunately the BIOS update did not help to solve the problem.

SandyTech,

 I also have a brand new Pavilion x360 15-cr0091ms
I started it up and Cortana wa sunable to hear me at all.

I uninstalled audio drivers and rebotted while online.

I have all the MS Windows 10 Home updated.

I just loged into HP and I installe dthe latest bios.

I then went back to HP and installed everything they said I needed.

Still th emicrophone is not hearing anything.

Should I take it back to the Microsoft store ?

Additional Information for my issue of NO MICROPHONES

I did a complete HP Windows 10 Recovery and the problem still exists.
I think the connect is off and/or its ahardware issue.
I plan to take it back to the local Microsoft Store and get it replaced unless I hear from Sandytech real soon.
