Please, help me to solve this issue. I´ve already tried everything I Know: HP Support. disable, uninstall drivers, you name it. Brand new PC.  I beleive that happened as soon as Windows was updated.

This is crucial and if not solved I must return the machine to the store and never buy HP again...

Thank You.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

To resolve these issues, please manually remove AMD Audio Driver from device manager and then install the softpaq. The softpaq is already available on HP.com: https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers  refer to AMD High definition Graphic drivers.

Note: suggested troubleshooting steps only for AMD CPU.

Keep me posted for further assistance.

Hello Echo_Lake,

Thank you for your reply.

My laptop is a HP ENVY x360 Laptop - 15-ed0008np and it´s
Product number is 187G2EA#AB9

The processor is Intel i7, not AMD.

So no, your solution doesn´t apply here.

My laptop has a Internal Microphone array.

I think I need the Controller/driver Microphone Array ( Intel Technology R Smart Audio).

Please check but I think it will solve the problem or, another one that can put the internal microphone to work. The windows troubleshoot and the HP audio check says " internal microphone is not plugged in ".

See here one of many other coustumers with the same problem:

Please help me. I really need this to be able to work.

Thank You.

Thank you for posting back.

Not to worry,

Let's perform Windows Update and HP Support Assistant which will install the latest Intel Audio drivers (do not skip any troubleshooting steps if you feel steps are repeating)

To check for updates now, select the Start button, and then go to Settings  > Update & security  > Windows Update, and select Check for updates.

Install updates from HP Support Assistant: Go to Download HP Support Assistant to install the tool.

  1. To open HP Support Assistant, double-click the HP Support Assistant icon https://support.hp.com/doc-images/932/c05040382.jpg.
  2. Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.
  3. Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.
  4. Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
  5. Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
  6. Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Echo_Lake,

Yes, I am very worried.

This happened after a recent windows software update.

Please, don´t give me basic solutions.

I need a controller/driver for the internal microphone array of this PC, that was in it before. Last saturday, at the store when I bought it, everything was working fine. After the windows upgrade the driver/controller of the internal microphone array went gone and now, doen´t work. The windows trobleshoot and HP audio check says " Microphone not plugged in".

Please check with your superiors, what the solution might be.

Same problem, which needs the same solution.

NOT SOLVED.

Thank You.

Thank you for posting back.

I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue. I would suggest performing system factory reset will put the computer back to the original factory settings in this way all corrupted and outdated software will be removed.

While doing the recovery there is an option to back up your personal files. If you have not previously done one now is a good time.

Restoring Files that were Backed Up Using HP Recovery Manager (Windows)You can also contact HP support for assistance. They can remotely access your system to help alleviate difficulties: www.hp.com/contacthp/

The HP Cloud Recovery Tool allows you to download recovery software to a USB drive. You can use the downloaded recovery image file in order to install the Windows operating system.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
