Hi There,
My notebook is only about 6 months old and recently the internal microphone has stopped working.
The computer did not detect any issues when I troubleshot the issue, and I followed all the different methods to fix it on this page https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-pavilion-17-e000-notebook-pc-series/5375409/model/5395210/do...
but none of them have worked so far. I've also restarted my computer a few times.
I can record sound if I use an external microphone, I just can't use the internal one. No audio spikes at all when I test the internal microphone.
It comes up as 'Realtek Audio R', (I hope thats the correct name for the internal microphone)
Any help would be greatly appreciated 🙂

Hi @jess_pl
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.
I appreciate your efforts in trying the steps provided in this document.
Let us run a test on the hardware components of the PC
- Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
- Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
- Perform System Test > Extensive test. Share the result on your next post.
Also, run an Audio test under the component test.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
