Thanks that did the trick. Audio is great now. No drops.

Okay this is crazy, I thought the down loads fix the audio problem but they did not. Today the audio drops are in both the pc recording and the You Tube. It is as if nothing has changed. I down loaded the two links as requested. The down loaded links are not the same versions as stated in the post. What do you suggest I do now?

thanks

I ran the audio diagnostics in HP assistant and no issues so now what do you suggest? The audio drops are really serious now.

Hello @godavid64

Do you have third-party antivirus and firewall software installed ?

HP Recommended

Use Defender antivirus. No third party firewall

I really appreciate your help and patience in regards to audio problems and I do apologize for not realizing this early. I just remembered that the brand of hearing aids that I have often have bluetooth audio probems. This brand has acknowledged this connection problems especially with laptops. I have another HP gaming laptop that the audio drops are not so bad. It is a 15in with a I 7 processor. 2017. The battery just went bad and I ordered a replacement battery today. That is why I started using 17in HP. I don't know if the 15in pavilion has better audio devices or not. So this seems like an unsolvable problem except for using a different laptop or pc. Thanks again for your patience.
