I am referring to the following post:

1. https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Audio/Laptop-buzzing-sound-distortion-from-internal-microp...

2. https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Audio/Laptop-internal-microphone-distorted-sound/m-p/75141...

I never got an answer. The problem hasn't been solved and the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics doesn't solve this issue, because this is a software issue, since it appears and dissapears on its own.

Please give me a solution that will permanently fix this problem.

UPDATE: Did the diagnostic of sound, no problems found. Tried with EXTERNAL MICROPHONE and buzzing is still there, hence, the issue is a software bug. Any ideas? Maybe from the drivers?

Did you perform the Reset? If the issue persists after the Reset, then backup your data and perform a System Recovery using the Recovery Media

The HP Cloud Recovery Tool allows you to download recovery software to a USB drive. You can use the downloaded recovery image file inorder to install Windows operating system. Click here: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c06162205 to Use the HP Cloud Recovery Tool (Windows 10, 7)

Thank you

Hello,

Thank you for the reply. I see this as the only viable solution. I won't to it now, because I really don't have the time to re-install the OS and I've created a dual-boot with a Linux and I need all the data on my hard drives as well, so I will probably do it in the future.

If someone has the same issue, maybe re-installing/resetting the OS might solve this issue.

One thing to note is that lately, with my external microphone, the distortion happens LESS frequently and most of the time it is fine without distortion, unlike the internal mic. However, from time to time even my external microphone starts buzzing.

Anyway, this is as far as I am willing to go. Thanks for the advice, you can close the thread if there aren't any other solutions, besides reinstalling the OS.
