HP ENVY - 17-ce0576na
Microsoft Windows 11

I keep finding that I lose sound on my laptop after a Windows Update.

It says no drivers etc installed.

Sound Troubleshooter does not fix because it does not think there is any sound installed - CATCH 22!

I usually get bored and just run a System Restore.

This forum keeps not recognising my computer so I have trie putting as something I do not own.  It is

Hello @lundavra

(1) Backup < ALL > personal data (documents/pictures/videos etc...) to external <USB hard drive>

(2Please reinstall your operating system !

You need (another Windows computer) to prepare bootable <USB flash drive>

An unused or empty USB flash drive with at least 32 GB storage capacity is required.
