Spectre x360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I noticed today that my laptop speaker audio is gone.    I turned on my sync'd bluetooth speaker and it still works fine via the laptiop.    I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the audio driver (SP103860) and also revert my bios back to default (found on another hit while searching this forum) but nothing seems to allow for audio via the laptop speakers.

Any help would be appreciated.

James

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues with the audio on the computer.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

What is the product number of your computer?

Meanwhile, I recommend you run the audio troubleshooter on the computer, and it will automatically find and fix audio issues.

Here is how it is done.

- Launch Troubleshooting by typing and clicking “Troubleshooting” in Windows search.

- Click on "Playing Audio".

- Follow the on-screen instructions.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Sorry it took so long to respond.  Was traveling and missed the emails.

I am running a HP Spectre x360 Convertible 13-ae0xx

I tried the troubleshooter and it gets to the point where it tries the test sound.   I reply that I don't hear anything and the only option is to reinstall the driver and reboot.    After each reboot, it goes to the same loop when I select "I didn't hear anything".

So, my driver has been reinstalled and still no sound.

I will say that my "intel high definition audio" does not show a driver:

The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

There are no compatible drivers for this device.

To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver.

I have tried selecting the "search this computer" and "search windows update" but that hasn't helped to resolve the driver.

Is there a link to that specific driver that I can use?

Thank you
