After recent windows 11 update (KB5040527), all my audio and internal microphone drivers have gone haywire. I have uninstalled and restarted and tried everything short of doing the dreaded Windows refresh (which I do not want to do....). I noticed today that I am having BT issues now. The other issue you will see is that I have a headphone microphone plugged in and I do not. I do not even know how it got that. Need help desperately!! See below please!
Don't have a headphone Mic
My Jabra's connect , but not working

AAAHHHH!
BT's are weird from last update
only thing showing under this input, no mic

I am not run of the mill user and have done all of the "basic" moves. No matter what I do, I even went back to uninstall 6 months worth of updates and sort of got it working, but then that would leave me vulnerable, so that will not work. It seems to me that the Windows Audio Endpoint is causing the issue. It wants to control everything and not let Realtek load back to norm. I have sent this up the chain to Windows land and await there wonderful answer. All my BIOS' and firmware is up to date, this is definitely a Windows issue that needs to be fixed. My internal speakers are working, but can you tell me why does the system want to recognize my internal mic as a headphone mic when it is not? I do not even have one, all I can think is that it is trying to use the drivers for my Jabra (which that is not even working due to the weird way the BT does and does not want to work, odd???). MAJOR GREMLINS!!!!

I have done it all buddy and I am so tired right now of Microsoft and HP, they really don't seem to monitor these boards, because they just seem to let us do the same **bleep** things over and over, with no real resolution. So after many attempts at all, and then the final resolution, guess what?? No resolution!! The computer is still doing the same things, so after doing some more research with Jabra and diving thru the device manger, I think that the issue is still with the MS Audio Endpoint and it's absolute control and the way HP is letting it do it. Everything was fine before this last huge update and then bam, I am only able to use my internal speaker, and my internal microphone is relegated to the 3.5 jack for some **bleep** reason that I cannot understand. No matter how many times I delete and restart, nada! I can find (pictures show) that I have a digital microphone that doesn't have a driver, but wont accept the Realtek driver (BOD when I try to install the correct Realtek driver), so I guess MS just does not like that I would like to use MY microphone on MY computer that I have used for many years anymore. I really need that mic, because I use for Doc visits with the VA. I live in rural area, and do not looking forward to buying a headset and looking like I should be flying a plane while visiting with my shrink... Somebody else out there is having the same **bleep** issues I am having, I know I am not the only one, I am not like some users and do not understand how a computer works. Hell, I have kept this one running for a long time until MS and HP decided they knew better about security, and my choice was taken away. I know BT can be a backdoor to a lot of things, so board monitor person pass on my problems to the knuckleheads at HP to figure it out (and yes the motherboard and its components are fine).
And to Irwin6, thanks for all your help, especially the Realtek software pkg, most excellent my friend! Your time and commitment is most helpful and I don't want you to think I am directing this at you, it is just tiring that's all. Thanks for your help! I am off soapbox my friend, have an excellent day!
