HP Pavilion Notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi all,

My microphone has not been working for a couple of weeks now. I have tried all the advice I have found including checking default settings, troubleshooting, updating drivers, uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, using Windows Powershell to check that audio is set to Automatic, disabling sound effects and a remote advisor reinstalled Windows 10 to my device. I also downloaded the BIOS update from July.

While trying these methods, I discovered that my Hardware and Devices troubleshooter had not been able to run since July. I clicked the link in the settings which explained how to run this troubleshooter. I ran it and it said fixes were made, however the troubleshooter is still showing as 'not run since July' and my mic still doesn't work.

I would appreciate any help.
