I have searched for the Intel(R) SST Audio Controller driver that matches your device's hardware ID via the Microsoft Update Catalog channel, and it turns out that Intel does not provide a driver for Windows 11. I have also checked all the hardware IDs in the .inf file.

Open 'device manager', expand the System devices category, right-click on the Intel(R) SST Audio Controller driver, then click 'Update driver', select 'browse my computer for drivers', then select 'let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer', then select the audio controller driver named High Definition Audio Controller.

Wait a minute, I'm checking the hardware ID of your laptop's Intel(R) Smart Sound Technology (Intel(R) SST) Audio Controller. Because on the official HP website, there is only a version for Windows 10.

It's downloading, when it's finished I'll help you.

Thank you very much for the recommendations.  I tried 3 times and received a message stating " there are no devices, (speakers or microphone on my computer). I checked setting and it states there is no output devices. I am not sure which update caused them to fail.    I will check with Microsoft  regarding the last message,  It also states their is a hardware problem.   Thank you. Greatly appreciate your time and recommendations.
