Hello everyone!
I have been facing this issue on my laptop for a very long time now and i hope someone has a solution for this!
Whenever i try to connect my bluetooth headset, or any bluetooth audio output to my laptop(while its charging) it wouldn't connect. If it somehow connects, the audio is distorted. But lately it doesn't connect even when i  disconnect the charging. I have tried reinstalling the drivers, updated to the lastest verisions and even restarting my pc but nothing seems to be working.
I have also tired to re-pair the device but it won't even pair now. The headset work perfectly fine on other devices.
Thank you!

Hi @PP2110

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thank you for sharing the details. I acknowledge the Bluetooth issue you are experiencing with your HP laptop. Let’s go through precise steps using the recommended methods to restore Bluetooth functionality:

Run HP Diagnose & Fix

Check Bluetooth in Device Manager

  • Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
  • Expand Bluetooth.
  • If Bluetooth is missing, click View > Show hidden devices.
  • Right‑click and select Scan for hardware changes.
  • If Bluetooth reappears, right‑click the adapter and select Enable device.

Update Drivers via HP App

Check Windows Bluetooth Settings

  • Press Windows + I to open Settings.
  • Navigate to Devices > Bluetooth & devices.
  • Ensure Bluetooth is toggled On.
  • If the option is missing, it indicates the driver or hardware needs re‑enabling through Device Manager or Diagnose & Fix.

Perform a Hardware Reset

  • Shut down the laptop.
  • Disconnect the power adapter.
  • Hold the Power button for 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect power and restart.
  • This clears temporary hardware states and often restores Bluetooth detection.

Please try these steps in order, starting with Diagnose & Fix in the HP App. This should help restore consistent Bluetooth connectivity and audio quality. After completing, let us know the outcome so we can guide further if needed.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
