@Nnablz, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

It sounds like you are experiencing issues with your audio driver after mistakenly uninstalling it. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the issue:

Recheck Driver Installation:

Use HP Support Assistant:

  • Open HP Support Assistant. It scans your system for software and driver updates and can reinstall drivers.
  • Search Windows for "HP Support Assistant" and open it.
  • Navigate to the My Dashboard tab, select Updates, and install any available audio driver updates.

Check Device Manager:

  • Access Device Manager by searching for it in Windows.
  • Find the audio device under Sound, video, and game controllers. If you see a yellow exclamation mark next to it, it indicates a driver issue.
  • Right-click the device and select Update Driver Software. Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.

Run Windows Update:

  • Ensure all related updates are installed. Sometimes, Windows-specific updates are required for the audio device to work properly.
  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.

Restart Your Computer:

  • After reinstalling or updating drivers, restart your computer to ensure changes take effect.

Check System Settings:

  • Make sure your audio isn’t muted or set to an incorrect output. Right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar, select Open Sound settings and check your output device.

Also, you can refer to this guide: HP PCs - No sound from speakers | HP® Support

I hope this helps.
