Hi there.

My laptop tells me that there is no audio output device detected. This is a lie! It was working fine until a recent windows update. I have v1909 so no audio driver updates are available from HP at this stage. The Realtek and Intel drivers say they are installed and enabled. It appears that these are simply now not on speaking terms with the hardware. The troubleshooters (windows and HP) both say they can't detect the hardware. The sound worked fine only last week.....

Any suggestions?

I fixed it. Device Manager - -> System Devices - Intel Smart Sound SST - OED. Uninstalled and searched for update. This worked for me.
