Hi, my PC doesn't recognise any kind of audio device installed.

The audio icon on the right-bottom of the screen has the red X and no audio installed message.

Windows solution down't find any solution...

HP Recovery down't find any problem (and recovery function doesn't work as it's not available with my WIN version).

Already downloaded the proper drivers from product page but I can't install (error -0001).

So, no audio from loudspeakers, no audio from headphones if connected with jack connector, no microphone.

Is there any solution? I can't recovery the PC as I don't have enought time to reinstall all the programs.

I was able to solve this issue.  Here are the steps I followed:

1. Went to support.hp.com

2. Allowed website to identify my computer

3. Click on "Software, Drivers and Firmware"

4. Click on "Driver-Audio"

5. Download and install RealTek driver for 1903 version of Windows (that's the latest)

6. That, alone, didn't solve the problem so I'm not sure it's absolutely necessary.

7. I didn't have the latest BIOS so I updated that by clicking on "BIOS" on the same "Software, Drivers and Firmware" page

8. After download and install and a couple restarts, my sound issue was fixed.

Thanks for your reply but the latest audio drivers for my laptop are older...for windows 1809...

Hi Asmita6658,

thanks for your solution but it doesn't works...

Why HP doesn't release an updated driver pack for my laptop? The latest is for 1803 version...
