I have an HP 15s-fq2000, using Windows Home 11 25H2. Processor i5-1135G7 @ 2.4 Hz.

Suddenly it cannot find any of my built in audio devices. I have hunted far and wide and tried every suggestion there is on message boards.

Hp do not a suitable driver for the 25H2 W 11.

I tried downloading from Intel the necessary drivers but these didn't make a difference.

On you tube it plays but with no audio

Audio troubleshooting says: No Devices connected.

Any help appreciated, Thanks,

Hi @SarahT63

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I acknowledge the concern regarding the audio devices not being detected on your HP 15s‑fq2000 running Windows 11 25H2. Let us proceed with steps to restore sound functionality.

Check Windows Audio Services

  • Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
  • Locate Windows Audio and set Startup type to Automatic.
  • Ensure Windows Audio Endpoint Builder is also set to Automatic and running.

Update Drivers via HP App

  • In the HP App, go to Updates.
  • Install any available audio, chipset, or BIOS updates.
  • This ensures compatibility with Windows 11 25H2.

Reinstall Audio Drivers from HP

  • Open Device Manager → expand Sound, video and game controllers.
  • Right‑click your audio device → select Uninstall device.
  • Restart the laptop. Windows will reinstall the driver automatically.
  • If needed, download the latest audio driver from your product page: HP Software and Driver Downloads

Check Intel Smart Sound Technology Driver

  • For your i5‑1135G7 processor, the Intel Smart Sound Technology (SST) driver is essential.
  • Visit your product’s driver page and install the latest SST driver available.
  • This driver enables detection of built‑in audio devices.

Reset HP App if Needed

  • Go to Windows Settings > Apps > Installed Apps.
  • Locate HP AppAdvanced OptionsReset.
  • Reopen the HP App and re‑run Diagnose & Fix.

By following these steps, the audio devices should be detected again and playback restored. Please let me know if you would like the direct driver link for the Intel Smart Sound Technology driver specific to your HP 15s‑fq2000.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
