Microsoft Windows 11

Every time I update Windows (24H2) my audio (input and output) does not work after restart. Looks like K242HYL NVIDIA High Definition Audio becomes the new default after the update. When I try to change the default back to Realtek (R) Audio, it is not showing up as an available option. I have deleted other audio drivers from Device Manager without success on regaining my audio. My only solution so far is to revert back to a previous build of Windows 23H2 (April 2023). By doing this, I am losing all of the important Windows updates. Google and forum searches seem to suggest there is not a solution. Has anyone found a work around for this?

Please try a clean install Audio driver

1. Download  https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp150001-150500/sp150339.exe

       and save on your computer
2. Use Device Manager to uninstall audio driver (if any),
3. Reboot machine,
4. Install downloaded file above,
5. Reboot machine.

Hope this helps.
