@Charmstep, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Let's work together to get your Logitech external speakers working with your HP Notebook.

Check Physical Connections

  • Ensure the Logitech speakers are powered on and properly connected to the correct audio jack (usually green) on your notebook.
  • If using USB-powered speakers, confirm they are securely plugged into a working USB port.

Set Speakers as Default Playback Device

  1. Right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select "Sounds" or "Sound settings".
  2. Under Playback, look for your Logitech speakers.
  3. Right-click them and choose "Set as Default Device".
  4. Click OK to apply.

Check Volume Levels

  • Make sure the volume is turned up on both the notebook and the external speakers.
  • Also check the Volume Mixer (right-click speaker icon > Open Volume Mixer) to ensure no app is muted.

Update Audio Drivers

Test with Another Device

  • Try connecting the Logitech speakers to another device (like a phone or another PC) to confirm they are working properly.

Run Windows Troubleshooter

  1. Go to Settings > System > Sound.
  2. Scroll down and click "Troubleshoot common sound problems".
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
