HP ENVY 16 inch Laptop PC 16-h0000 (534C6AV)

(Since the original thread was locked for some reason, I've continued the thread here as "part 2".)

Today I tested with Kubuntu 24.10 Beta.

The speakers were initially silent, but after pressing the "Audio Mute" button twice, I suddenly had sound from the speakers!

Finally, 2.5 years after my first post it works now!

It seems that the sound was not as "full" as under Windows. It seems to sound more "tinny", less bass. In other words, it doesn't seem to sound like the Intel Evo standard. But more testing is needed to confirm or revoke my initial impressions.

I would like to thank someone, but don't know who. The amplifier people? HP? The people in the original thread?

Anyway, much thanks to the people who helped make sure I got sound from my laptop speakers!

Maarten
