I had some problems with crackling sounds on my computer a while ago. All the sound I played was distorted even if I used a headset or not. Found out that it might have been because I had ''enchantments'' activated. But for some reason, my computer didn't have enchantments. Ended up looking up some guides online, and I found one that told me to uninstall and reinstall IDT Audio Driver so I would be able to find enchantments.
As you most likely understood from this, I am no good with computers. Thanks!

Hi,
Try the following.
Download the IDT Audio installer on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp63501-64000/sp63555.exe
When done, hold down the Windows key and press R
Into the Run window, type devmgmt.msc and hit enter.
In Device Manager, expand Sound, Video and Game Controllers. Right click the IDT device and select Uninstall - you should also get a prompt to remove the current driver, tick the box to allow this and then proceed with the uninstall.
When complete, download and reinstall the AMD Graphics package on the following link ( the reason for this is the software package will also reinstall the Chipset drivers )
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp63001-63500/sp63449.exe
When the AMD Software reinstallation has completed, shutdown the notebook.
Unplug the AC Adapter and then remove the battery. Hold down the Power button for 30 seconds. Re-insert the battery and plug in the AC Adapter.
Tap away at the esc key as you start the notebook to launch the Start-up Menu and then select f10 to enter the bios menu. Press f9 to load the defaults ( this is sometimes f5, but the menu at the bottom will show the correct key ), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and hit enter. Press f10 to save the setting and again use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and hit enter.
When windows has reloaded, open your Downloads folder, right click on the IDT installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation. When this has completed, restart the notebook and let windows fully load for a few minutes before checking.

For some reason I got my sound back (idk what happened. Was gone for a week, now it is back without me doing anything.) Sound is still distorted and I can not find enchantments tho. I only see this where enchantments should be

Hi,
Go back into Device Manager and expand Sound, Video and Game Controllers.
Is there an additional hardware device now listed here?
