HP ENVY - 13-aq0003na
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi,

A few weeks ago I noticed sound had stopped working on my HP Envy, I was running windows 11. I tried various things including updating drivers, going back to WIndows 10 but I get no sound out of the headphone socket or speakers.

If I click the volume control and the > on the right it says No output devices found, however if I pair up a set of airpod headphones via bluetooth I have audio through them so it looks like the sound card is working.

I have tried a full re-install of WIndows 11, tried the windows trouble shooter so I am guessing the is a physical hardware issue somewhere, any suggestions as to what it could be and whether I could replace a broken component myself, I have plenty of experience repairing and building desktop PC's.

Please perform a clean install Audio software/driver, this should help.

   (a) Download the following driver and save on your computer,
                    https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp112001-112500/sp112020.exe

   (b) Go to Device Manager, Sound to uninstall sound driver (Realtek) and reboot,
   (c) Right click downloaded file and select Run as administrator,
   (d) Reboot again.

Regards.
