OMEN 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-c0000 (343L4AV)

Hello, all.

Early 2022 I bought a "HP - OMEN 16-c0500na 16.1" Gaming Laptop - AMD Ryzen 7, RX 6600M, 512 GB SSD" and it's been working very well so far. However, recently I noticed steam somehow replaced my audio drivers with "Steam Streaming Microphone" and "Steam Streaming Speaker". I uninstalled those and ever since I have not been able to use my laptop's microphone. The only Recording device I see in my laptop is "Stereo Mix" which doesn't seem to really record any input.

Has anyone been through something like this and/or knows what I could do? It sounds really odd that my laptop can no longer recognize any internal microphone, and HP Support Assistant claims the speakers are my default input device as well (they're not, Stereo Mix, in absence of something else, is).

I will note my laptop works fine with cable microphone/headphones, it is just the internal microphone that I am having trouble with. Moreover, I've already tried reinstalling the sound drivers from the hp website as well as updating the BIOS.

Would appreciate any help/suggestions, thanks!

@Teo16

Probably Streaming product stole the device and it took with it when you remove the software. Please download and install

Unfortunately re-installing the sound driver did not work 😞 Many thanks for the suggestion though!
