I could'nt recreate the beeping whilst in safe mode.
The past couple of times it has beeped is when I have been using IE. I've noticed in task manager that IE is using a high amount of memory, maybe I should try using another web browser and see if I still come across the issue?
**Another beep** 😞

Hi @DarrenC1987,
Thank you for the update. I understand that you did not have any beeping while in safe mode. You also noticed that IE is using a high amount of memory.
What version of IE are you running?
Try another browser and see if the issue persists.
Please keep me updated.

Hi @DarrenC1987,
Thank you for the update.
I am glad you were able to rule out the browser as an issue.
Here is a link to HP Notebook PCs - Notebook Keyboard Troubleshooting (Windows 10, 😎. Please note the section on "computer beeps while typing".
Please let me know if this helped.
Good Luck!

I have established that it's not the sticky keys. Even with the speaker muted I still hear the beep from within the system. The sound seems to come from the top right cornner of the unit. I'm guessing that rules out any system sounds if the laptop speaker is muted?

Hi @DarrenC1987,
Thank you for the update.
I think we have narrowed it down to software as you do not have the beeping while in safe mode.
To determine what may be causing the issue you can use the Windows configuration tool
HP PCs - Using Microsoft System Configuration (Windows 10, 😎.
To help reduce the troubleshooting time, instead of enabling one item at a time, try using the 50/50 method. Enable half of the items and restart. If no beeping occurs, then go back and disable the first half and enable the remain half and restart and continue in this fashion until the issue is located.
Please let me know the results.

I tried it all, everything you covered and had a brand spanking new 15" Touch with 16GB and 2TB and the latest processor, all the bells and whistels including WIN 10 PRO. It kept beeping. Yes I did on the internet interface with a HP tech level 1 unfortunatly and he installed an old version of bios on my computer. The next level support installed another version but not the same that came with my computer. My original version of bios was gone forever when I went to look to install it myself. So since level 1 or level 2 had no idea what was causing the beep and then ruined my computer by installing "firmware" and deleting forever my original bios I took it back to Costco.
I lost, and HP lost. I can't touch the price I paid for my laptop since it was a Black Friday deal and HP lost a customer that had many previous super deluxe lap tops and desk tops.
I was told in other threads if you got a new one it would do the exact same thing in other threads. I keep looking for a HP but can't come close to the price anymore and also have the fear it will beep once again since I see the same problem over & pver when I check back on the forums.
Can't tell you the days I wasted running every test, and including on the internet with HP. They love spending hours with a customer and not fixing the problem, must make their day go fast. Just admit they have no idea where it is coming from but best described as a small chearp but a lower decible that comes from a smoke dectector. I even took every electronic item with a battery or not out of the room, the sound was coming from inside the lap top.
So so far after many months there still is no solution. Haven;t heard of one person out of many to say something worked unfortunately. Still sad in Wisconsin

Still no luck, I even had all non-windows services disabled with no effect. I'm guessing this narrows the random beeps down to a conflict between windows 10 and something within the laptops actual build?
Any further advice would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think they will ever find the reason behind this as it has been a question in various locations on the forum for 3-4 months now with no solution. You really want to know what they told me? The tech told me to buy an extended warranty if I was worried about the beeping sound. It is i irritaing i told him plus I already had a 2nd year free of warranty via Costco.
