After I did what this thread suggested https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Audio/Lost-audio-after-Windows-10-update/m-p/6459290#M90294 my laptop is now running like a drunken turtle. Can't even open Chrome. Why is this happening?

Hi:

 

I have to ask...why would you use that post that was for a notebook that is about 10 years older than yours?

 

Your notebook has a totally different version of the audio system.

 

That fix will not work for your notebook.  It only worked for the HP G60 model series, which you don't have.

 

I highly recommend that you go back and change the msconfig settings back to the way they were.
