Previous version of Windows 10 worked fine, but yesterday's major update (12/09/2017 - Creators Update?) has caused the Speaker icon with a No Entry sign alongside to light up orange instead of green, and I can't discover how to make it turn off to normal.
Latest drivers were already installed for sound.
Any ideas?

Hi:
The creator's update knocked out the audio in all of my PC's.
The only suggestion I can offer would be to reinstall the latest audio driver from your notebook's support page and restart the PC.

That's what worked for me on all of them.
If that doesn't work, another audio driver you can try would be this one. Install and restart the PC.
