Hi @Utkarshr8n90,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

There could be a few different reasons why you are experiencing audio problems when you plug in your earphones to your HP laptop. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.

  • Check your audio settings: First, make sure your audio settings are configured correctly. To do this, right-click on the audio icon in your taskbar and select "Open Sound settings." Under "Choose your output device," make sure your earphones are selected.
  • Update your audio drivers: Outdated audio drivers can cause problems with audio playback. Go to the HP website and download the latest audio drivers for your laptop model.
  • Test with different earphones: It's possible that the issue is with your earphones themselves. Try plugging in a different set of earphones to see if the problem persists.
  • Check for physical damage: Examine the earphone jack on your laptop and your earphones for any physical damage or debris that may be blocking the connection.
  • Check your default audio format: Your default audio format may be set to a format that is not compatible with your earphones. To check this, go to "Sound Control Panel" > "Properties" > "Advanced" and change the default format to a different format.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
