I have a similar issue with an HP Pavilion - 15-cw1005la laptop.

In my case is with Realtek(R) Audio. Speakers volume fluctuate with a few seconds with normal sound, and then suddenly I can barely hear it. (the pattern repeats after a few minutes)

Since we don't have Windows 10 2004 updated drivers for this model, I hope HP can release updated drivers for this model soon.

I have what appears to be the same problem:

Most of the time the sound through the speakers is barely audible, it suddendly jumps back to normal level for 1 or 2 seconds, and then goes back down to barely audible. This does not happen when using headphones.

I have NOT updated to Windows 10 version 2004 yet, so either this is not the root cause, or my problem is different 🙂
