After installing the latest Windows 11 update last night (11-27-2023), after rebooting the Realtek audio drivers were no longer installed. The Windows update included a BIOS update and a firmware update.
I've spent several hours trying every solution I've been able to find and none of them worked. The I've run the troubleshooter and it tried to install the drivers, but after rebooting the "No audio device is installed" message still appears above the speaker icon in the system tray when I hover the mouse over it, the audio drivers don't even appear in the Device Manager, and when I run the troubleshooter again it tries to install the drivers and the cycle just repeats. I've run through it three times and the same thing happened each time.
I even tried rolling my laptop back to an earlier restore point only to get an error message saying there were no restore points to roll back to. Restore points were set before the Windows update and each time the troubleshooter tried to install the drivers, but when I start the system restore, it tells me there are no restore points.
I found the driver and downloaded it directly from the Realtek site and when I tried to install it, it popped up the following error message:
Install Realtek Audo Driver Failure !!
[Error Code : -0001]
No driver supported in this driver package.
I bought this laptop new one week ago and it has never been taken apart and the hardware has not been altered in any way.
The Windows update appears to have removed the audio drivers and there appears to be no way to reinstall them. I've had the Windows update mess up small things on other computers, but this one is something I've never encountered before...

I didn't have time to try the solutions until this evening. I followed your instructions and it fixed the problem, but it was a rough process. When I tried to update the BIOS, I got a message saying i already had the latest version (10-23-2023). When I looked for the update on the link you provided, the version was from July 2023.
I found the Realtek audio drivers (sp145183 and sp144943) and tried to install them. The installation began, the files extracted, and then the installation just stopped. I waited and nothing else happened. The same thing happened with both files. The installation just stopped and there were no error messages.
I restarted the computer and there were still no audio drivers installed. I restarted again and nothing changed, I tried installing the drivers again with the same results. Installation just stopped. The Install Wizard didn't complete, it just closed after extracting the files.
About ten minutes later, the computer finally detected the drivers. The audio appears to be working now.
I'm detailing all of this here because the process did not go smoothly. It finally worked, but I wanted the steps I took to be on record in case anyone else has a similar issue. As I mentioned in the opening post, the audio was working fine when I bought the computer, and then the drivers uninstalled during the Windows and BIOS Updates installed on Nov. 27. Something happened during that update that removed the audio drivers.
But again, the audio is working now. Thanks for the help!
