I have the same issue with SmartAudio. I have an HP Envy, win10 pro 64-bit, 2-days out of the box. The new computer has been going through its windows updates. Following a restart after tonight's batch of updates (KB3199986, KB3209498, and KB3206632), the same "Reinstall SmartAudio" message appeared for the first time.

Problem Solved!
To replace the missing file causing the SmartAudio error:
1. Go to the Device Manager (search for it)
2. Near the bottom of the list is "Sound, video, and game controllers". Expand that by clicking on the arrow.
3. Right click on the "Conexant Audio" sound card and select "Update Driver Software".
4. Search for the driver on the web.
These steps replaced the missing file and I haven't had the SmartAudio error since.
I originally posted solution last night. Not sure why it isn't there now.

Hi,
I encountered the same issue after installing a couple of software updates that were recommended by the HP Support Assistant. Among those updates had been an audio update. After every reboot my HP ZBook 15 G3/Win10-Enterprise-64bit I was also getting that popup C:\ProgramFiles\Conexant\SA3\HP-NB-AIO\Languages\en-US\SmartAudio.resources.dll was not found.
SmartAudio needs to be reinstalled
I followed then the suggestion to update the driver via the device manager. That didn't solve the problem for me. I then searched the web for conexant smart audio download and bookmarked that page. Then I uninstalled the Conexant ISST Audio program via device manager\sound, video and game controllers\Conexant ISST Audio - right click\uninstall. After a reboot I downloaded the driver I had bookmarked and installed (I used http://download.cnet.com/Conexant-High-Definition-SmartAudio-HD2/3055-2110_4-208820.html?tag=pdl-red... and then selected the download button which provides a selection of operating systems. The driver installation required a reboot and hooray, the problem was solved after the reboot.
I assume that the initial update installed the driver in another location but did not remove the old path.
🙂
