Hi Chimmey, i did all the steps, that you recommended, the hardware test pass with fliyong colors, no issue on hardware

I did check all updates HP, and Windows, everything was OK, nothing was missing

Finally i did Uninstalled the Audio Conexant Drivers, and re-install from the link yoo said.

All is working fine so far for a few minutes, i have to test several days, since this troubleshoot was done 3 times

via Chat with your customers support (remote) tech. persons, i have records of 3 cases last week

Everytime they apply the "fix" worked for a day or 2, then again the red mark at audio and no sound

Anything else i can try in the meantime i wait and use the sound for a few days???

Thank you for your help, this is very frustrating issue  as you must understand........

Hi Chimmey

The "solutio" lasted one hour, then suddenly No Sound, so i went to support and chat tech support,

they did what we done 4 times so far since i bought the laptop last week. Unistall drivers, re install drivers....

worked for about 1/2 hour, the tech person , mention the only thing left to do is a full recovery to original OS

He send instruction to get into recovery, i did, its been a couple of hours and still sound is fine, just hope this

will fix for good. Otherwise, what other options i have, besides return the laptop to Costo????

thanks if you can reply to this/

Thanks for the reply @ESTUARDO

Glad to hear that the audio is working after installing the audio driver from recovery manager.

Please do observe the computer and if the issue persists, uninstall the audio driver again and install it back from this link

Let me know how it goes.

Hi Chimmey

I dont know if you read my previous post, yesterday the sound stopped again, i made a chat with customer support they said after reinstalling the drivers, that the only thing to do as a last resort, is to do a full OS recovery,,,,,

I did it last night and after about an hour after laptop rebooted, all seems fine so far, i havent used a lot the sound on any

application, but for sure ill watch a netflix movie this afternoon, after that i can report if the problem is solved for good

Thanks for the follow up on this problem

Alright, so I uninstalled and then installed a new thing from a link I was provided, and now its happening again. What is wrong with the sound? I shouldn't have to keep uninstalling one thing and install another every few days. It gets old. I would just like for my sound to work like its supposed to.

Hi Chimmey

THis is very frustrating, yesterday after support chat, and following the recomendation from the tech. i

jumped and reset the whole OS, after 2 hours started fine, sound worked last night and today, but just a while ago

sound is gone....

I really dont know what else to do, is there a way somebody from HP will see this problem deeper so they can find a solution for good.  To restart or re install drivers every day is no solution

Thanks for your help
