Hi there,
Basically i bought a HP Pavilion 15-n032sa yesterday and i have this problem that i can't seem to fix. The audio from the laptop speakers sound fine but as soon as i plug in my headphones i get a static sound that doesn't go away. I've tried restarting, power without the battery and then without the power cable connected, and muted all sound and tried other headphones and it still continues. Does anyone have a solution?

Hi Southe,
Welcome to the HP Forums! From what you have posted it sounds like there might be a problem with the microphone jack if you are getting the static from two different sets of headphones. One thing you can try is setting the default audio device to the microphones and see if that works. Here is a YouTube video that will show you how to do that. Something else you can try is the Microsoft FixIt tool for audio issues.
Thank you,

Thank you,

Hi Mate,
Please find my simple trick to resolve your problem instantaniously.. in seconds
Problem:
when your earphones connected - you hear annoying static noise?
Action:
Try to check if this noise is when you move your mouse (USB), also check if the mouse(USB port) is connected next to you earphones. There you go, you found the problem. connect your mouse to someother usb port to the other side away from the audio jack.
Resolution:
Your a getting this static noise which is created because of your mouse signel, since your headphone jack it was picking up the static.
ISSUE RESOLVED.
