HP Laptop - 14s-fq0510na
Microsoft Windows 11

Over the past week, two drivers have vanished. There is no audio and I can't adjust the brightness, so the screen is dull. I've tried downloading/updating the drivers, 3 times, but apparently a piece of information is missing: inf or something so it can't update.

Even the windows (11) updates are failing. I just get "installation error" stated at each one. There are corrupted files present which C.Prompt can't resolve. I can't even reset the laptop due to a unknown error occurring when it attempts to reset. I've deleted all temporary files and apps I don't use or need. I only have ONE software program installed and use an external hard drive to store files etc.

I simply have no idea of why or how this has happened, and I've tried Screen Sharing and the person couldn't resolve it, neither. So any ideas will be appreciated!

Hello @Leigh84

Sorry to hear that you are having problems ... I would like to help you.

(1In most cases, the simplest solution:

=> Use Windows Restore to return to the restore point before the error occurred.

https://www.windowscentral.com/how-use-system-restore-windows-11

See section < How to undo changes using System Restore on Windows 11 >

Hi,

I tried your suggestion, and it didn't work. This problem started after I updated to Windows 11 and I can't even reset my laptop because another error occurs so it stays at Windows 11.

Hi

The "Go Back" option is, apparently, no longer available.
