Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I own a HP Mini 110 Netbook on Windows 10 and while the Volume works perfectly even when not muted the control button (F11) the light on the button always shows Orange when it should be Blue when not muted it always used to show as described but for some reason it now always shows orange as if it is muted even when it is not. I have tried updating drivers and everything else I can think of hopefully someone can help me fix this. I should say the volume and button work perfectly and the button is not stuck down.

Thanks in advance for any help

Hello @Ex-Pat

Sorry to hear that you are having problems ...

To help you I need to know the product number (p/n) of your notebook !

You will find this information on the back of your notebook printed in small alphanumeric letters.

The product number (p/n) is legally allowed information, just about the computer, no sensitive data.

It is allowed to post in public, no problem.

Hello @Ex-Pat

Last HP drivers are for windows 7, only. Really old ones.

Did the volume button ever work with Windows 10 ?

best regards

Hello and thank you for your reply yes this was originally a Windows 7 Starter machine and it was upgraded to Windows 10 free by Microsoft well over a year ago and it worked perfectly until about 4 months ago I carried out a new download of Windows 10 as it was running slowly and since it has run much quicker although it did delete some HP files that I have tried to copy and paste here although it will not let me as it sees it as HTML thank you so much for your help

Good afternoon and thank you so much for your continued help. I downloaded, Installed and shut down and restarted and no difference I am afraid. Looking at the properties of the download this says it is only compatible with XP, Vista, / and Windows 7, 8 so is not compatible with Windows 10 I should have said previously the Blue and Orange light works perfectly for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on the next function button F12 ! I am completely mystified by this insignificant but annoying problem. I do like computers etc to work correctly and whilst not ' overly tech savvy'' I am not a technophobe either and normally should a problem arise (rare) I can normally sort it out myself. I do not want to buy a new machine as this works so well

thank you again

(1) Unzip the sp55152.exe file using windows explorer or 7-zip

(2) Change to the folder that contains the unzipped files

(3) run HPOnScreenDisplay.msi
