I’ve got my volume all the way up on my tablet, but its still hard to hear music or movies. I have to be a few inches from it to even hear it. Its getting really annoying.  I’m up to date on updates.

@Yvhvhvtke Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you are unable to hear the sound.

Do not worry. I will try to fix the issue.

When was it working before?

Have you tried resetting?

Please follow the below steps to reset:

CAUTION:

All data saved on your device is deleted when you perform a factory reset. All apps are uninstalled. Data stored in your Google Account can be restored. Back up all important files, either on the Web or with an external storage device, before resetting the tablet.

  1. If you have a microSD card installed in the tablet, remove the memory card before resetting the tablet.

  2. From the Home screen, touch the All apps icon, and then touch the Settings icon.

  3. In the Personal section, touch Backup & reset.

  4. Touch Factory data reset.

  5. Touch Reset tablet.

  6. If you set a lock screen password for your tablet, enter your password when prompted.

  7. Touch Erase everything to confirm and begin the reset.

  8. The tablet powers off and the screen shows Erasing. When the reset is complete, the tablet reboots. Set up the tablet by following the steps in the HP support document Setting Up Your HP Tablet

I have sound. It’s just very quiet even with it turned up all the way. It was reset in the past year and it’s been like this the whole time. I got it from my mom to watch Netflix on. The sound is the same whether it’s Netflix, YouTube, Facebook, or an app for a tv station. I know the speakers can go louder. Some commercials are louder. I just wish it’d all be that loud, or louder.

@Yvhvhvtke

Thank you for posting back.

To get the answer to this question, its because of the limitation of product hardware. However, I would suggest try using an external speaker in order to enhance sound quality and loudness.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
