Hi

I am trying to buy my very aged and nearly deaf father some headphones for his HP laptop but he cannot tell me the model number (so I can find out the jack size) because that part of the label has worn away. But he can tell me the serial number! Its [Personal Information Removed]........or so he tells me.........

Can anyone either tell me what headphone jack size I need for this serial number - or tell me the model number from this serial number?

Many thanks!

Stuart

Firstly please do not post s/n of your machine on internet. Anyway 99.9% HP notebooks/laptops use standard 3.5mm jack. Older machines may have a separate jack for a microphone but newer ones have headphones/microphone comb jacks.

Using s/n you can't find its specs. The safest way is to buy an USB headphones

Regards.
