Hello Fewey8r,
I see that you are having trouble with the CD/DVD drive on your computer. I would like to help with this issue but I need some information.
Can you give me the model and product number of the computer? Here is a link that shows how to find that information.

I have the identical situation and am wondering what your solution was. Curious, too, if it was contributed to physical damage to your computer.
