Purchased laptop with Windows 11 and reimaged it to Windows 10 Pro.

Everything works fine except the audio. I'm using the Realtek driver from the original Win11 installation (version 6.0.9350.1).

Could you please upload a Windows 10 compatible driver for this hardware ID:

INTELAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0287&SUBSYS_103C89F6&REV_1000

PS I already tried searching with my serial number and Prod ID on the HP website but get an error: "Sorry, no results match your search"

Thanks!

Hi:

From what I could find, HP is only providing W11 drivers for that model series.

Did you try the W10 Realtek audio driver from the 15-eg000 model series?

Thanks for your help.

The driver works but I have another problem now, a very noticeable popping / clicking sound before and after system sounds (like UAC). Better than no sound, but very distracting.

I'll reimage back to Windows 11 to see if the problem persists, any thoughts you have would be appreciated!

Thanks

You're very welcome.

Sorry that the W10 driver from the older model series didn't work perfectly for you.

You may want to look into some related discussions regarding the sound popping and clicking.

If you reinstall W11 from what I can tell, your notebook uses this driver support page.

Thank you, that is very helpful.

I'll give both of those options a try and see if I can find a solution.

Again, very helpful, thanks!

Anytime.

Glad to have been of assistance.

Follow up for those who have this same problem.

Downloaded the old driver from your link and forced an install (info on how is online), and after a restart, the problem went away.

To see if I could reproduce the problem, though, I updated the driver back to the original WIn11, but the problem was not there anymore. Apparently the reinstallation fixed it, not the driver itself.

For extra credit (small joke, please forgive me!) could you share how you came across the page with the drivers for my computer?

It was very, very helpful, but because my computer is an 15t-eg200, and not an 15-eg2000, I never would have found it nor trusted the drivers.

Thank you again!

You're very welcome.

Glad you got the audio to work properly.

Don't think you were alone trying to figure out how/where to find the support page.

I googled the model number.  Couldn't find a support page, but I did find the HP link to the model:

HP Pavilion Laptop 15t-eg200

Now on the actual top of the web address, they put the product number of the PC:  6m7m8av-1

Forget the -1 and you are left with 6m7m8av

Enter the product number in the search window on the HP support site link:

Official HP® Support

It will recognize the product number and direct you to the driver page I gave you.

This time I'm giving you the main page you land on when you enter the product number.

How's that for some detective work?

That was excellent detective work!

Very impressive and helpful. I will make a note of it to know how next time.

Again, appreciate the help. Wish you a good morning / afternoon / evening, will definitely be more likely to connect with this support community in the future!
