Hi, I have an HP Envy 15 laptop and I started having issues with the speakers. When listening to music or watching movies, audio output keeps switching between speakers and headphones. When I press on the bottom part of the laptops chassis the issue stops. Sometimes the issue doesn't appear for days. I tried reinstalling the drivers, but it didn't help. The issue occurs both in windows and in linux.

Hi,
the problem was a design flaw where the part of the motherboard that has speaker connectors on it touched the aluminum part of the chassis when I was typing. I fixed it by putting little piece of foam in between.
Thank God it didn't fry my motherboard.

As I understand the speaker doesn't work unless you touch/press the laptop chassis,
