HP ENVY dv6-7301tx Notebook PC

Hello, I have this problem, I have an HP dv6 7301xt laptop, after installing the IDT High-Definition (HD) Audio Driver (from the off site https://support.hp.com/ua-uk/drivers/selfservice/hp-envy-dv6-7300-notebook-pcseries/5330549/model/5344160?sku=C9M04PA) the Beats Audio panel appears, but the sound disappears completely (completely) If you remove the driver and restart the laptop, the sound works (but is flat) Please tell me, in what could be the problem? The laptop has win 11 x64

Hi:

Yes, the IDT audio does not do well in W10 or W11.

See if this W10 IDT audio driver from a newer model notebook will also work on yours.

Restart the PC after installing the driver.

Note:  Sometimes this driver sets the PCs headphone jack as the default audio output (which may also have happened when you installed the driver from your notebook's support page), which is why you may think you had no sound.

If you have no sound after installing the above driver, go to the Windows control panel>hardware and sound>sound>manage audio devices, and make sure the PC speakers are set as the default audio output.

If that driver doesn't work either, unfortunately you will have to live with the default audio driver Windows installs.

**bleep**, thank you very much))) So it was, by default the sound was played through the microphone, but after a reboot the settings will not be lost?

You're very welcome.

After you change the default audio output settings to the PC speakers, they should stay that way unless you go into control panel and change them.
